It was a dark and stormy night. Yeah, that really does stink, even when I type it myself.

Ok, real background. I have been working in the technology industry for almost 20 years. My educational background is in traditional media and journalism. When I first began to experiment with the web in 1994 I was immediately struck with the nascent power and ability for two-way communication.

I am considered an expert in the use of technology to reach and create meaningful dialog between marketers and customers. All media is inherently social but what people now gleefully call “social media” is about dialog. So, let’s talk.

This site is merely an outlet, not a promotional vehicle for my professional life. I have other sites for that. Perhaps you have been there as well.

From time to time there will be guest entries but mostly this is all me. I just want to put my thoughts down and perhaps get a laugh or two in the process. It’s okay if you laugh as well.
